MY GO-TO 2018 HOLIDAY LOOKS

Is it just me, or does it feel like Christmas completely snuck up on us? To be honest, I feel like yesterday was literally January. This year feels like it's just FLEW by. With the holidays being one of the busiest times of the year for everyone, the one thing a lot of women stress about is what to wear to half the events they have going on. Working in retail, I encounter so many women coming in looking for extremely dressy holiday attire for black tie events, etc. While this is the case for many gals in a fashion emergency, I literally never have this issue. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a super fancy holiday party to go to, and I'm perfectly okay with that!

Dressing up is always super fun don't get me wrong, but I'm more of a dressy/casual kind of girl. Honestly I'm not sure if that makes much sense - but, I like any event where I can look dressy, but feel the comfort of being casual. So... here are some examples of some of my favorite holiday looks you can wear to events you may have coming up that aren't extremely formal and dressy!

Okay so this is probably one of my favorite looks EVER! If I could wear this outfit over and over again without everyone noticing, I totally would!

This chenille sweater from Southern Trends Boutique is seriously so comfortable, and it's the perfect burgundy/wine color for Christmas time. This cropped sweater could be easily dressed down with a cute pair of denim, or they can be dressed up with leather leggings.

These faux leather leggings I'm wearing are from Forever 21 and they're only $18. They're high rise and super comfortable and not too tight. If you really want to splurge on a pair of AMAZING faux leather leggings, I highly recommend Spanx Faux Leather Leggings. When I tell you they're probably the comfiest leggings I've ever put on, I mean it! They fit like a glove and have an awesome waist band to ensure all-day comfort. They come in petite & regular which is also a bonus... and they come in a ton of colors and styles!

These stiletto heel booties from Chinese Laundry are my FAVORITE for the winter time. They're my go-to heel for dressing up an outfit. Plus they feel super cushioned when I wear them and they never feel uncomfortable. They're definitely perfect for a semi-dressy holiday event!

Even though winter is upon us and it's a little too cold for a skirt - you could still wear a cute pair of OTK boots with this one! You just need to make sure you're not outside for longer than a few minutes, haha! This outfit would be perfect for a holiday event.

This trumpet tier-sleeve top is such a pretty style. I actually bought it from ivy & leo last year and it's no longer available, but there are so many similar ones out there that would be super cute with a skirt or some skinnies. Link to some very similar ones will be linked below!

I've raved about this skirt from ivy & leo a million times, but it's just THAT good of a staple piece. I've worn this skirt probably more than any piece in my closet this season. It's perfect for any outfit or event you have planned.

These booties are also my FAVORITE. I think I wore them this past weekend literally three different times with no shame! They're just THAT comfortable and they're great for a casual outfit or dressy. They're BP. from Norsdtrom and they come in so many colors. Black, different shades of brown, olive, and burgundy. They're also 33% off right now and under $60!

I paired this look with one of my go-to statement necklaces from Chic Happens. The owner, Caroline, is local to me in NC, and she is a good friend of mine! It's the perfect piece to add-on to your outfit to complete it before going out!

This outfit is hands down one of the comfiest holiday looks! Any outfit that involves a comfy flannel is a win in my book. This is the perfect everyday look with some holiday reds that make this a great casual look for an event that isn't too dressy.

This flannel is one of my favorites! It's super soft and I love the black and red color combo. The one I'm wearing is unfortunately out of stock now from Forever 21, but there are sooo many similar ones out there that have the same pattern & relaxed fit. I'll have some linked below!

This quilted vest is an amazing piece to have. It's a great layering piece and it's not too heavy at all. The version I have is now out of stock (annoying, I know) but I linked a couple similar ones below that fit the exact same and have the same quilted/waxed look.

These leather leggings are the same ones I linked above in my first look! They're such a steal and I wear them all the time when I want to take a casual look and dress it up just a little bit. They're great to have and they won't break your bank.

These suede wedges are THE BEST. They're the only pair of wedges I have that feel like I'm walking in flats. They're super comfortable, and it's an extra bonus that they're Tom's, which means every pair you purchase, they will give a pair to a child in need. It's a purchase that will make you feel good!
