So as most of you know, your girl loves to read. Here recently I've gotten SO MANY questions from you all about what books I've been reading and which ones are my favorites! I know I said I was going to publish a "What I'm Reading Wednesday" blog post each week, but I decided to share my absolute favorite books I've read this summer with you all! I obviously don't want to give away the plots of each story, but I'll tell you just enough so you know what it's about and why I loved it! You can purchase any of these books with Amazon Prime and receive within two days. Click the links below to directly shop!
#1: Where The Crawdads Sing:
You just have to read this book, bottom line. This honestly might be the BEST book I've ever read, and that's saying a lot because I've read a lot of books! It takes place on the coast of NC and is told by Kaia, a young marsh girl's perspective. It's an amazing story about how she learns to rely on herself and the land around her, and how she makes the most of it. It turns into a major murder mystery and keeps you hooked from page one. I highly recommend this one!
#2: The Last House Guest:
I'm actually reading this book right now, and I can't put it down. It's Reese's Book Club's August pick, and it's also a mystery. I'm loving mysteries and thrillers these days, and this one is NOT scary if you're not a fan of scarier books. There's so many secrets involved that unravel about the death of the main character's best friend, and the reader is kept wondering what really happened. This book is a GREAT summer read for sure!
#3: All We Ever Wanted:
Y'all, I LOVE EMILY GIFFIN. Her books are always just so good you can't ever put them down. She always manages to make the reader feel like you actually know the characters involved. This particular story takes place about a family in Nashville who appears to have the perfect life, but it's not so perfect at all. Relationships are questioned constantly and keeps you guessing!
#4: Something In The Water:
This might be the creepiest book on the list. It's not scary by any means, but there's just so many hidden details that make your skin actually crawl. IT IS JUST SO GOOD. You question as the reader who you can trust and who is lying. I won't give away too much, but it's about a newly married couple who decides to take their dream honeymoon in Bora Bora. They happen to come across something in the water there, and their lives are instantly changed. This is probably one of my favorites on the list!
#5: The Wife Between Us:
I'd never read a book written by two authors, so I was skeptical but it was honestly SO GOOD. This was another great mystery/thriller. I read this one in like two days! I wrote about this one in my blog post last week with more detail, but this book is just really surprising in a good way. You think you're reading about a crazy ex-wife who is jealous of her ex's new fiance, but that ends up not being the case at all. It's one of those books where you start to assume you think you know what's going on, but you really don't - and that is what makes it so good!
#6: The Couple Next Door:
This was my first book by Shari Lapena that I'd read, and it definitely won't be the last! Her books are MAJOR THRILLERS and they're so interesting. This book I read in almost 24 hours. The mystery in this book started within the first 10 pages. It all starts at a neighbor's dinner party that went all wrong. The reader starts to question who is responsible for the committed crime and why it happened.
#7: When We Left Cuba:
I read this one in the early summer time and it was one of my favorites. If you're into history combined with a classic love story, this one is for you. It takes place in 1960's Florida and the main character is a beautiful woman whose family was exiled from Cuba. It's an exhilarating read because you never know what's going to happen next. It was such a great read and really interesting!
#8: The Whisper Network:
This was July's Reese's Book Club pick, so naturally I had to read it! The writing and the plot was a little bit different than the books I'm used to reading, but I think that's honestly a good thing to change it up. It's about a group of extremely strong, hard-working women who have excelled highly at their career while balancing their personal lives. The main setting throughout the novel is based in their work environment, which is at a major corporate headquarters. You start uncovering secrets about the dynamics of their workplace, and it becomes a read you can't put down!
#9: When Life Gives you Lululemons:
This is just a perfect summer read! If you're familiar with the Devil Wears Prada, you'll like this book for sure! It reminded me a little bit of Emily Giffin's novels a little bit with the way it was written. It changes perspectives between a group of women and the plot continues to keep twisting. This one is one of my favorites for sure!
Let me know if you have any questions & I hope you love these books as much as I did this summer!

Weekly Wednesday Read: The Wife Between Us
So if you know me... you know I start a new book every few days. It's a problem, but I mean there are worse problems to be had. Am I right? I've always had a major love for reading (and writing), and it's the one part of my day where I feel like I can actually relax and have some me time. I wake up in the morning and read while I drink a cup of coffee, and you better believe I end my day reading with a glass of wine until I fall asleep, haha!
I get so many questions all the time asking me for book recommendations (a blog post on this will be coming VERY soon!), so I decided it would be fun to share with y'all every Wednesday what I'm currently reading and if/why I'm loving it so far! So here's to my first "Weekly Wednesday Read" post! Feedback is greatly appreciated! :)

Asheville NC Recap + Review
Happy Tuesday friends!
So get this, I've lived in NC for twenty-six years and somehow have never managed to visit Asheville! I've technically only been there for the SoCon Basketball Tournament in college when I was on dance team, but that doesn't count - I'm talking VACAY people!
So, I was super excited when I got a weekend off from work and we were able to visit for a couple of days and truly experience how beautiful Asheville is! This is a bit overdue, but I wanted to share some details about our stay and our favorite parts about the trip.
