Weekly Wednesday Read: The Wife Between Us

So if you know me... you know I start a new book every few days. It's a problem, but I mean there are worse problems to be had. Am I right? I've always had a major love for reading (and writing), and it's the one part of my day where I feel like I can actually relax and have some me time. I wake up in the morning and read while I drink a cup of coffee, and you better believe I end my day reading with a glass of wine until I fall asleep, haha!

I get so many questions all the time asking me for book recommendations (a blog post on this will be coming VERY soon!), so I decided it would be fun to share with y'all every Wednesday what I'm currently reading and if/why I'm loving it so far! So here's to my first "Weekly Wednesday Read" post! Feedback is greatly appreciated! :)

What I'm Reading:
The Wife Between Us

Author:
Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen

Pages:
352

Genre: Thriller, Mystery, Suspense

What I Think:
Well for starters, I. Can't. Put. It. Down. This book had me hooked from the very first page! I've been really into reading thrillers & suspenseful novels lately, and this one hasn't disappointed so far. I've already read more than half of it, and I honestly never know what's going to come next. I obviously don't want to spoil the entire plot, but it involves a switching perspective at first between the ex-wife and the new wife-to-be. You think you have all the characters' personalities pegged at first, but you don't. You start to wonder which character is the crazy one, and that's the fun of it!

At first I was constantly trying to figure out which character to trust, and then all of a sudden you're thrown a major curve ball just like that. Everything I had assumed to be true in the novel, was all of a sudden wrong and I was really confused tbh. Confused in a good way, not bad. It just had me rethinking all the assumptions I had made so far.

The back of the book literally says, "When you read this book you will make many assumptions... Assume nothing". I definitely made the error of thinking I had this story figured out early on, and turns out I was 100% wrong. That's why this book is SO GOOD, because each chapter is constantly leaving you more and more on your toes.

Would I Recommend? YEP. Go buy it, now. You're welcome.
